Wildcats Top Caps

Millbrook was able to get a key conference win, 4-2, in a matchup of two of the conference’s top pitchers. Broughton starter Thomas Walden (Sr.) pitched a nice complete game scattering eight hits but the Wildcats were able to keep the Caps at arm’s length.

Green Hope Defeats Broughton

Broughton could not get the offense going and allowed one big inning in losing to the Green Hope Falcons 7-1.

The Caps missed a scoring opportunity in the 3rd when Will Baldwin (Sr. SS) was hit by a pitch, Warren Grady (Jr. CF) walked and Mathis Dean (Soph. 1B) reached on an error to load the bases. Unfortunately, the Caps were not able to take advantage of the Falcon’s miscues. Green Hope sent 11 batters to the plate in the 5th, scoring 6 runs to break the game open.
