Jr. Joe Bialkowski throws a 1 hit Gem but it is not enough- Final score BHS 0 Leesiville 1

The Caps played well enough to win but a costly error in the 5th was all Leesville needed to score the only run of the game.  BHS out hit the Pride 5-1 but were unable to capitalize with men in scoring position. Bialkowski (2-3) Case (1-2) Batchelor (1-2) Ford (1-3).   They will hit the field again tomorow at Wake Forest Rolesville 7:00pm

JV Plays Strong at Leesville, Broughton Wins 7-5 

Broughton traveled to Leesville Friday, and were up to the challenge. The Caps didn’t score in the first. Yarborough started for the Caps and kept the Pride off balance. Broughton kept The Pride scoreless with a nice throw down from Morris. The second inning was scoreless for both teams. Broughton had the bases loaded with 1 out and left them stranded. 2 Ks from Yarborough and a pick off at first closed the inning. Broughton 0, Pride 0
Broughton scored a run in the third, with a RBI double from Eller. The Caps held the Pride scoreless again, with a nice double play from Eller. Caps 1, Pride 0
Caps started the fourth inning a couple of hits, but only scored one run. Leesville managed 2 runs off some field errors. Caps 2, Pride 2
Caps came out hitting in the 6th, and Yarborough connected with a 2 RBI at bat. Pride couldn’t score. Caps 4, Pride 2
In the 6th, Collins has an RBI off a triple. Baldwin and Wheeless have RBIs. Leesville scores 2 runs. Feeny relieves Yarborough and finishes the inning a K. Caps 7, Pride 4.
Broughton can’t put the ball in play in the 7thwith only one hit. Feeny stays in control, but the Pride still manage a run. A throw down to 3rd from Morris closes the game.
