Jr. Wilson White goes all 7 innings in the 5-2 victory over WFR.

There was a fight to get at the bat rack as the Caps scored 5 runs on 11 hits including 3 hits from Jr. Austin Walker (3-4 RBI).  Jr Joe Bialkowski had another nice day going 2-4 (2B, RBI).  Soph. Rob Case 1-4(RBI), Jr. Wilson White 1-3, Jr Maclin Batchelor 1-4 (RBI), FR. Dom Ford 1-4, Jr. Max Magallanes 1-3 and Sr. Zi Hopkins 1-3.  The Caps also played stellar defense with no errors. 

Jr. Wilson White has been the work horse for the Caps this year throwing 35% of the innings played with an ERA of 1.87. 

The Caps will take the field again on Friday April 27th 4:30 @ Wiley Warren Field vs Enloe.  The 25th Anniversary of the 1987 State Championship Team will take place before game.  Hope to see everyone there.

Broughton JV hosted Wake Forest Rolesville today. Johnson started at the mound for the Caps. WFR drove in one run in the first. Caps were scoreless.
Johnson held Wake scoreless in the 2ndinning. The Wake pitcher kept Broughton at bay.
Wake scored 3 runs in the 3rd. Broughton was closed out again. WFR 4, Caps 0
In the 4th, Johnson held WFR scoreless, 3 up 3 down. The Caps scored 2 runs in the 4th. One run scored off a sacrifice RBI from Rotchford, followed by a RBI from Johnson. Wake 4, Caps 2
Wake scored their last 3 runs in the 5th. Collins relieved Johnson for Broughton. The Caps scored one run. Wake 7, Broughton 3
Broughton shut out Wake in the 6thwith a double play. The Caps responded with 2 runs off a couple of key hits, including a RBI from Corchiani. Wake 7, Caps 5
Yarborough came in to close for Broughton in the 7th, and had 2 Ks, which shut down the Wake offense. Eller led off with a hit for The Capitals, Broughton scored another run off a second RBI from Rotchford. The Caps had men in scoring position with 1 out, but came up short on a squeeze play and an infield out.
