After holding the Wildcats scoreless in the 6th and 7th, Broughton was down to its final at bat with Millbrook bringing in their ace pitcher to close the game.  Warren Grady (Soph.) worked a walk.  Ford singled and senior catcher John Woods walked to load the bases with no outs.  Noah Yarborough (Sr.) delivered the big hit with a 2 RBI single.  Ford easily scored and Woods made a beautiful head-first slide to elude the catcher to knot the game at 4.  The Caps had two chances to bring in the winning run at 3rd but was unable sending the game into extra innings.  After a scoreless 8th, Millbrook was able to string together a couple of hits to take an 8-4 lead.  The Caps had one last chance.  Woods reached on an error and pinch runner Kyle Ehlers (Fr.) was able to race home on Cam Epperson’s (Jr.) second double of the afternoon.  Final score in 9: Millbrook 8, Broughton 5.  The Caps stranded 9 runners on base.  Epperson, Ford and Yarborough lead the offense with two hits; Baldwin, Mathis Dean (Fr.), Grady, Kuhns, and Dylan Lamm (Jr.) each had a hit.
