The Caps’ varsity visited Millbrook on Monday 5/5/14. In a low scoring contest, the Wildcats were able to take a 3 – 0 win.
Caps’ starting pitcher Senior Jared Feeny and relief pitcher Junior Noah Yarborough combined to limit the Wildcats to 5 hits and 1 walk while striking out 3. The Caps’ defense was a little shaky and was charged with 4 errors for the game. The Wildcats would score all of their runs in the 3rd inning.
Three runs were enough for the Wildcats on this night as the Caps were limited to 4 hits and the Wildcats committed 2 errors. “We were a little behind their pitching and just couldn’t get anything going offensively”, noted head coach Harry Jones. “Jared and Noah kept us in the game. Now that game is done and we need to focus all our energies on the next two.”
Offensive leaders for the game: Rob Case (2 – 3), Ben Eller (1 – 3) and John Baldwin (1 – 2).
